About The Institute
N.K.Varadkar Arts & R.V.Belose Commerce College, Dapoli is located at Kalkai Kond, Dapoli in Ratnagiri District. It was founded by the former State Minister, Government of Maharashtra, Late Shri.Baburaoji Belose in 1974. It is situated on a hill top surrounded by tall trees. The sights & sounds of this college are very charming. The total area of our college campus is Nine acres. Dapoli is noted for its cultural & historical heritage. Three Bharat Ratnas like P.V.Kane, Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve & Dr.B.R.Ambedkar belong to Dapoli itself. The college has been providing education in rural areas especially for the weaker sections of the society. At present our college has more than 1300 students both at junior college , U.G. & P.G. level( History & Marathi ). Along with academic excellence the college has promoted N.S.S. , Sports , Cultural, Adult Education and extra – curricular activities for the students. The college has started Y.C.M.O.U. Nashik’s study centre for B.A./B.Com. & B.C.M. for needy students. At present the college offers all facilities such as modern teaching aids. Well equipped Library, sports facilities , Gymkhana, Gymnasium , Canteen, Ladies’ Common room, Gents’ Common room, Cultural Centre & Computer training centre.
The College is accredited by NAAC grade ‘ B’ , ( 70 to 75 %). Institutional Distinctiveness-Most of the students of the institute living in a hilly & rural area they are economically backward. As per vision and Mission of institute, Institute always try to bring poor and needy into the stream of education. In the year 2018-19, 20 students Rs. 30,000/- help provided to poor students. Two poor students of S.Y.B.A. Exam fees was waived by college. Some student’s admission fees contributed by professors of college. T.Y.B.A. Entire Geography, Hindi, History and Marathi subjects are Non-Grantable. But Institute gives admission to T.Y.B.A. students in a minimum fee as like Grantable student’s fees as like a Grantable students to help students and keep poor students in a stream of education.

- Formation of different committees comprising representatives from all stakeholders of the college for coordinating important administrative activities of the college.
- Policies and plans are constituted monitored and evaluated by IQAC
- The Principal , HOD, Administrative, Coordinators of the various committees implement the plans and policies together.
- The committees prepare action plan and submit to the IQAC. The committees carry out the activities and at the end of the academic year committee Head submit the report of the work done to the Head of the institution.
- The students representatives are also nominated to carry out the Co-curricular and extracurricular activities
- By organizing meetings of all stakeholders institute decides plan & policies and communicate through Notice to all stakeholders for smooth functioning of the college.
- The IQAC created WhatsApp group to post updates & Notice related to academic.
The Organogram of College
The organogram of college reflects the democratic character and shared responsibilities with which governance takes place. While the overall supervision of administration and the regulation of finances of the college rests with the Governing Body, the administration and execution of everyday functions lies in the charge of the principal. The functions of the Principal in turn are supported by the faculty and the non-teaching staff. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell also collaborates with the Principal in ensuring a quality teaching and learning environment in the college. The Governing Body under the leadership of the Chairperson gives direction to the administration and decision-making, finances and regulation, purchases and development, and quality assurance of the college. The Principal, as the chief administrator of the college, supervises and manages the overall functioning of the college. The teachers-in-charge work in collaboration with the Principal and their respective departments in accomplishing the academic, financial and co-curricular requirements of the departments The librarian also works with the Library Committee in upgrading the academic resources and facilities in the library. The first authority in the college is the Principal, who precedes decisions related to academic, workload timetable to the departments. The IQAC of the college plays a key role in assessing and assuring quality in the teaching- learning and evaluation process. The Administrative Staff of the college is also characterised by a well-defined organisational structure, with positions according to the University rules and the UGC.

After the availability of funds the quotations are demanded & sanctioned in the meetings. Accordingly concerned builders are allowed for construction work. Suggestions are allowed for construction work. Suggestions are sought from faculties, office staff & fourth class staff about classroom maintenance & facilities. In the meeting, after the discussion on those suggestion decisions are taken by the Principal.
Under the guidance of the chairman of the society & Principal of the college educational & infrastructural facilities are provided to the students. For that sake meetings, are held, planning is done & decisions are taken.
For Muslim students minority scholarship is started. Students who have achieved success in sports are honored with tracksuits. All sports students are provided with necessary sports material & tracksuits.
All the above departments ultimate head is the Principal of the college. All committees work under the Chairmanship of the principal.
