Department Details

The Department of Marathi was established in the year 1974.
Our subject Marathi is an optional subject at F.Y/S.Y/T.YB.A and T.Y.B.COM (under ancillary group) At F.Y.B.A level subject Marathi is compulsory. Our college is having subject Marathi 3 unit level at B.A. Degree course.
In the year 2002-2003 subject Marathi was introduced at M.A. level. We are having entire Marathi (8 papers) at M.A. level.
Our Department is taking special efforts to the students that they should be able to write Poems, Stores and Dramas as creating writing.
Our past students have developed their career in different walks of life. Some students are doing best in theatre and film activity. Some of them are settled as a Teacher (Sr. College). Some students are playing active role in Newspapers as a reporter.
We are proud of our Department Of Marathi because with the help of Marathi Language and Literature we can guide to the students to step in various fields of Art and business. Our Department is making maximum efforts to develop culture and future of the students that they should become good citizens of country.
