Introduction
The year 2023-24 is the golden jubilee year of the institute and the college. Dapoli is the second Mahabaleshwar of Konkan and Maharashtra. People’s leader Baburao Belose recognized the need for education in Dapoli and established the era of education in Dapoli 50 years ago.
Konkan is said to be like the mining of gems and the glory of artists. The language and culture of Konkan has spread not only in India but all over the world. Konkan gave four Bharat Ratnas to the country. Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar, Pt. or Due to Kane, Maharishi Dhondo Keshav Karve, the identity of Konkan has spread far and wide.
Therefore, Konkan looks beautiful with the diversity of language and culture. But due to schools, colleges, universities, the culture is being enriched and enriched. Like various departments in every college, our college also has a cultural department from the beginning.
Today finally our college has taken a great leap in taluka, district, university, inter-university, national competition. The college has achieved resplendent success in all art forms such as serials, films, puppetry, one-act plays, plays, mock-acting, dance, Indian music, easy music.
A former student in the college Mr. Abhishek Joshi has reached national level in classical singing. Mr. Sanjay Belose, Sushil Kamble, Sudarshan Gaikwad, Suraj Pillay, Anandkumar Pillay, Sonal Patil, Vishal Sunar, Prasad Jalgaonkar (Sculpture), Shivam Kirdavkar E. Students, HarshadaPawar, NutanKhot (Mehndi) e. Kumari Gauri Mahajan has achieved great success in the cultural department. Kumari Gauri Mahajan has gained popularity as a new face and leading Actress in Marathi films, Marathi drama series on Doordarshan, Comedy Jatra, etc. Konkani language represents Konkan through Marathi language. All these students have increased the pride of the college, Konkan and Maharashtra.
The college preserves the culture of Konkan through Shishir Mahaterav, Shravandhara, singing, musical activities. The college till now Mr. Subhash Bhende, N. D. Patil, Gnanaratna Shivaji Bhosle, Rajan Patil, Prashant Damle, Reema Lagoo, Sharad Pawarand, Mohan Agashe E. Dignitaries from various fields have visited on the occasion of the program.
The cultural department of the college also organized a program called Hema Malini Night. Prof. Mukund Pendse directed two plays and experimented with those plays by taking the students and the financial help was utilized for the development work of the college. Prof. Mukund Pendse has given 51,000/- fifty one thousand rupees to the art academy of the college and the students have come to buy materials for cultural workshops from it.
The cultural department of the college is an inspiring, giving opportunity to the students and providing a cultural platform. This department has become famous in the taluka and some career students take admission in the college only for this department. This is the success of this department.
